Job Summary

Mercy Community Healthcare has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant in our newly formed business development department. If you are looking help a Christian organization grow and make a positive difference in the lives of others, this could be your opportunity.  

Summary: This position is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the business development department, including conducting research, managing website and social media updates, providing written communication, filing, photocopying, managing and updating department databases, assisting with fundraising and other events, responding to queries and developing and implementing efficient office procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provides administrative support for the business development department, answering phones, taking memos, maintaining files, sending and receiving correspondence, greeting donors, volunteers and customers. Assisting with assigned projects. Developing and implementing efficient office procedures, filing, maintaining department record systems to ensure accurate files. Provides support to staff/volunteers in organizing events and presentations. Researches, develops and monitors project timelines and budgets, and stories. Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position including but not limited to public relations, graphic designs, marketing, development, donor cultivation, community outreach, and events.

Collects data and prepares detailed reports related to critical measures such as outreach and fundraising events, donors, tours, compiles and analyzes data and creates reports for leaders.

Assists with the management, data entry, tracking, and reconciliation of department metrics.

Coordinates meetings and other department/committee activities. Completes department correspondence including, but not limited to creating agendas and taking meeting minutes, distributing action plans and coordinating follow-ups. Assists with data entry projects, Donor Pro clean up/maintenance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in office administration, communications/marketing, or related field. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in graphic design, branding, business writing, public relations and social media platforms is preferred.
