Job Summary

Project Connect exists to alleviate poverty by demonstrating the love of Christ through the healing of broken relationships and connecting people with community, educational, and vocational resources.   

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director and works closely with them to further the mission of Project Connect Nashville. The role supports the director through handling administrative duties at the organizational and programmatic level. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a relentless drive to get things done with efficiency and excellence and is highly attentive to tasks, processes, and details. The ideal candidate has some administrative experience and carries a passion for utilizing their professional gifts to drive faith-fueled social impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Track program budgets and expense entries under direction of the Executive Director
  • Assist with management of technology and organizational systems (Microsoft, phone system, internet, client management software) and troubleshoot with staff when issues arise.
  • Track inventory of classroom supplies, food, and event supplies for programming, and order more when needed
  • Create flyers to promote PCN program to partners and within the community at large
  • Prepare monthly reports about PCN impact
  • Provide financial resources for connection managers as approved within program guidelines
    • Rent assistance – online and money orders provided to clients 
    • Transportation Assistance – Bus Passes 
    • Food Assistance – Gift Cards 
    • Additional Emergency needs as needed
  • Complete various administrative tasks on behalf of the Executive Director (making copies, organizing files, etc.)
  • Attend PCN monthly staff meetings and departmental meetings as needed
  • Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities
  • Additional duties, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Passionate about Christian ministry to the under-served and in full agreement with PCN’s mission and core values
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Servant heart
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
