Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, developing, and evaluating top-tier center programs and activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of each center.
- Collaborating closely with the Center Director to align and achieve overall center goals and strategic plans.
- Engaging with the FiftyForward advisory council and council committees as directed by the Center Director.
- Ensuring timely communication by preparing and maintaining monthly calendars and newsletters, coordinating with the agency programming committee and other staff members.
- Leveraging Membership Works (MW) and My Senior Center (MSC) to promote activities and manage event sign-ups effectively.
- Spearheading the recruitment, screening, and evaluation of instructors, facilitators, and presenters in line with agency guidelines.
- Cultivating a dedicated team of volunteers in adherence to agency policies.
- Establishing partnerships with external agencies to enhance program offerings.
- Representing FiftyForward in the community and driving center promotion efforts.
- Participating in relevant meetings and providing operational support in the Center Director’s absence.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent in social services, recreation, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in program planning, development, and evaluation, preferably with active older adults and volunteers.
- Special Skills: Strong organizational, customer service, and time management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Publisher, and adept with technology like Zoom and audio-visual equipment.
- Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, First-Aid/CPR, and ServSafe certification required.
