Job Summary

The Accounting Manager serves as a liaison between the Business Office and the Executive Director. This person is responsible for oversight of accounting reports, budgeting, and reporting to the Executive Director and Finance Committee the accounting needs of all cost centers. The Accounting Manager performs work in a timely manner under supervision of the Executive Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • This person is responsible for oversight of accounting reports, budgeting, and reporting to the Executive Director and Finance Committee the accounting needs of all cost centers.
  • The Business Manager performs work in a timely manner under supervision of the Executive Director.
  • This person is responsible for assigning work to the Business Office staff and for oversight of the employees’ work in Information Technology, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Assets and Liabilities.

Qualifications

  • The Accounting Manager must have a B.S. in accounting or 4 years of experience and two years of accounting in college.
  • Knowledgeable in non-profit accounting procedures, including accruals, payables and receivables, accounting reporting system, data processing in accounting systems such as Abila Non-Profit Accounting software, Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
  • Must have computer skills needed to run all accounting programs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Supervisory skills, along with good written and verbal communication skills and required.
