How do I complete a CNM certificate?
You complete a CNM certificate by attending the required core and elective workshops. All certificates (except the Board Leader certificate) require 3 core workshops and 3 elective workshops. You can select any 3 additional CNM workshops to complete your certificate. Learn more about CNM certificates here.
What if I just want to sign up for the core classes, and not any of the elective courses?
You can sign up for just the core workshops; however, you will not receive a certificate unless the elective workshops are also completed (with the exception of the Board Leader Certificate, which does not require electives).
I want to sign up for the certificate, but one of the core workshop dates does not work for me. What do I do?
You must sign up for all core workshops at once. If one of the dates does not work for you, you can look for the next cohort offering to make up the workshop that you missed within a two-year period.
Can I sign up for more than one certificate at a time?
Participants may sign up for as many certificates as they would like. You cannot use the same elective workshop towards the elective requirement for more than one certificate.
Can the courses I took prior to starting my certificate core workshops count towards my certificate?
Courses taken in the year prior to the start of a certificate core program may be counted as an elective for a certificate.
How long do I have to complete the certificate?
Certificates must be completed within two years of the first core workshop taken. If the certificate is not completed within two years, then you will not be eligible for the certificate.
