About CEO Conversations:
CNM’s CEO Conversations series is designed to provide learning and networking opportunities exclusively for Nonprofit Executive Directors and CEOs. With a mix of educational and social gatherings, CEO Conversation events allow space for Executives to share best practices while strengthening the whole nonprofit community.
Event Description:
Mission Creep often includes items that fly under the radar and become dangerously institutionalized, slowly depleting our organization’s focus and passion. We’ve all been there before… a once-in-a-lifetime grant or partnership comes our way that can extraordinarily advance our mission but strays from our well-crafted strategic plan. Is it mission creep or an incredible opportunity to evolve our mission to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve?
We know that staying the course to fulfill our organization’s mission requires a long-term strategic commitment. Yet they say ‘with great risk comes great reward,’ but what happens if the risk goes right, or worse, if it goes wrong? What then?
Moderated by our NEW Interim President and CEO, Wanda Lyle, join us for a ‘lunch-and-learn’ focused on one of the many challenges CEOs face and how we can evaluate opportunities and potential impact on our agency. Presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, we’ll hear various perspectives from CEOs who have overcome the effects of mission creep and others who made the brave leap away from their original strategy to further their mission.
