YNP: Advancing Your Public Speaking and Virtual Presentation Skills (Virtual Networking Event)

Registration is closed for this event
Young Nonprofit Professionals is a free virtual networking group comprised of diverse Middle Tennessee young professionals supporting or working in the nonprofit sector. Our objective is to provide an inclusive space where emerging leaders can share resources, encouragement, and learning opportunities.

Event Description:

With remote teams becoming increasingly popular, virtual presentations are not only to be expected, but they have become the norm in our day-to-day professional lives. For many young leaders, presenting to your team is a lot less daunting than presenting on behalf of your team, especially to new donors or community leaders.

If career growth necessitates presenting your ideas to others, how can we develop these skills to advance our careers?

Join CNM for our first YNP event of 2022 as we learn and build our professional public speaking and presentations skills! Our featured speaker, Elizabeth M’balu Oke, MSc (President of PivotPath), will be sharing tips and strategies that will help you speak with confidence and clarity when presenting to both internal and external partners.

Event Speaker:

With over a decade of marketing, branding, and communications experience, Elizabeth knows what truly engages audiences! As a Sierra Leonean-American, she believes in the power of storytelling to connect nonprofits with their audiences, ultimately increasing donations and stakeholder buy-in.

Structure:

4:00pm - 4:15pm Introductions
4:15pm - 5:15pm Program, Discussion, and Networking

As always, these networking events are designed to be interactive sessions. We encourage participants to find a location to participate where they can have their camera on whenever possible to engage with other participants and do what they can to minimize interruptions/distractions.
