Intermediate Evaluation (Online Classroom)

You’ve got the basics of evaluating programs - now you want to take it to the next level!

Description: This workshop is designed for those who have a solid foundation in evaluating programs but want to learn more. This class will take a deeper dive into specific data collection methods (including basics like surveys and focus groups AND more participatory methods like PhotoVoice), explore equity considerations for evaluators, and provide tips for using data and evaluation for collaboration and systems change. Attendees should have experience with evaluation or have taken Foundations of Evaluation, as this course will assume an understanding of evaluation basics. 


Topics Addressed: data collection methods; participatory evaluation; equitable evaluation; data and evaluation for collaboration, collective impact, and systems change


Course Level: Intermediate 


Who should attend: Those with a firm grasp of evaluation basics or who have attended Foundations of Evaluation


Method of Facilitation: workshop, lecture, group discussion, interactive application activities


This work will amplify the impact of nonprofits by helping participants:
Improve ability to utilize the most common data collection methods (surveys and focus groups)
Explore equity considerations in evaluating programs and using data
Consider how data can be used for collaboration and to evaluate collaborative, collective impact, or systems change initiatives
