Kyla Phillips

Consulting Coordinator

Quick to think outside the box, Kyla has a natural capacity to consider issues from multiple perspectives and offer creative solutions. She brings strengths of enthusiasm, positivity, and problem-solving to community change-agents, and is thrilled to leverage these skills on the CNM team.

As the Consulting Coordinator, Kyla ensures that member needs are heard and met. She plays a matchmaker roles at CNM by connecting organizations with the appropriate expert to complete a project and providing additional information and resources as needed. Kyla enjoys working with all kinds of nonprofits and enjoys a good challenge, so don’t hesitate to reach out with an inquiry or idea!

Enticed by the idea of taking daily hikes to class, Kyla graduated from Western Kentucky University, home of the Hilltoppers, with a Bachelors in Economics. After defeating the hill, she later earned her Master’s from Walden University in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Her professional experience includes working as a Sexual Assault Prevention Program Specialist at the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence and as the Children’s Program Coordinator at the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Outside of CNM, Kyla enjoys taking the road less traveled, helping friends and colleagues work towards their passion and making the world a little sunnier with an easygoing sense of humor. The word “bubbly” has been used a time or two (or a dozen) to describe Kyla’s personality.

Ask Kyla about: consulting inquiries for new projects, areas of expertise in our consulting bench, and how to make lemons into lemonade (yes, that was an additional nod to Beyoncé, you can ask her about that too!)
