Brad Palmertree

Director of Collaborative Community Impact

Brad envisions a world where communities are resilient and dark chocolate is revered. As a macro social worker from rural West Tennessee, he’s passionate about improving the lives of Tennesseans through authentic engagement and innovative partnerships that “move the needle” on our community’s most pressing challenges. His passion and skills have helped him implement pieces of the Affordable Care Act, create safer schools for LGBTQ youth, improve the multidisciplinary response to allegations of child abuse, and transform criminal & juvenile justice systems to be responsive to those who have experienced trauma.

At CNM, he directs all aspects of the Collective Impact Accelerator, an innovative hub for multi-sector collaboration to solve complex challenges in our community. He enjoys engaging partners through effective facilitation and a witty sense of humor.

He holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Lambuth University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan where he finally learned how to drive in the snow. Outside of CNM, you can usually find him listening to NPR, reciting episodes of The Golden Girls, or exploring new hiking trails throughout Middle Tennessee. He & his partner live in Nashville in a home occupied by two cats, Rocky & Isabella.
