FACT: Crisis events can come in many forms, such as natural disasters, active shooters, abuse, and fraud. No business is immume to them.

FACT: Businesses that don't have an active strategic plan for identifying, preventing, and responding to crisis events typically don't survive.

FACT: As stewards of society with missions to provide critical care and services to the most vulnerable among us, nonprofit organizations are held to a higher standard in regards to how they prepare for, prevent, and respond to crisis events.

FACT: A nonprofit's mission can be kept safe whether a crisis comes from within, is perpetrated by a stranger, or is an act of God.

Utilizing real examples straight from the headlines, this presentation will take participants through all the stages of crisis planning with a focus on three key steps: identification, prevention, and response.

Participants will also look into how critical organizational culture is to the ultimate success of any strategic crisis plan. Lastly, participants will be challenged to identify potential road blocks to crisis planning within their organization as well as realistic strategies for how to address them.
