December 1, 2017

from Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee -- event open to nonprofit professionals

The CDC discovered an exposure that dramatically increases the risk for 7 out of 10 of the leading causes of death in the United States – and you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study. Still have no idea what I’m talking about? Well, you should know this study’s findings impact the rate of obesity, heart disease, cancer, and mental health in the adult population. To learn more, attend our screening of the groundbreaking documentary Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope that shares what they found and how it’s impacting our society. You’ll also learn what can be done to prevent ACEs. Join us at the Noah Liff Opera Center December 12th at 6pm to watch the film while enjoying heavy hors d’oeurves and cocktails. Tickets are $10.
