The Grants Associate position primarily enters and processes Donor-Advised grants, works with these fund holders, and conducts required due diligence as needed. In addition, this position performs a variety of advanced administrative and clerical functions to support the team as a whole. A vital member of the Philanthropic Services team, the Grants Associate is a key component in promoting efficient and effective relationships with donors and grantee partners, helping ensure we uphold our promise to show up for each other and the community.

This is a full-time, salaried position with all work performed onsite.

Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Donor-advised grant support, including review, entry, and processing
  • Donor and nonprofit relationship cultivation
  • Preparation and mailing of payments and correspondence
  • Research and project-based assignments
  • General administrative support, as needed
  • Provide occasional support for front desk staff, if unplanned needs arise
  • Promote the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s mission and strategies

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in administrative support roles
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365
  • Ability to quickly grasp and utilize new software applications and data systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with donors, nonprofits, colleagues, and leadership
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an open office environment
  • Comfortable in a work setting that is open to the community and hosts frequent gatherings

Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am–4:30, in the office. There is flexibility as far as assigned work hours, upon supervisor approval.
