SUMMARY

The Program Manager is responsible for initiating, implementing, and managing a new EBHV program at Nurture the Next.  This role will focus on exploring requirements for program implementation, developing infrastructure for a successful program rollout, and ensuring processes are in place to follow program guidelines according to national and state standards. The Program Manager will oversee the entire program and its staff and provide guidance, fidelity monitoring, financial monitoring, training, and technical assistance for the selected EBHV program.

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Along with program leadership, develop a program implementation plan.
  • Interview, hire, and manage high-quality supervisors and educators for a successful program rollout and beyond.
  • Supervise daily operations of program supervisors and educators. 
  • Employ best practices that hold individual and team members accountable for their job performance and outputs with equity.
  • Provide national and state-level guidance and coaching to program supervisors and educators.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of programming and ensure adherence to the model and progress toward stated objectives.
  • Along with the QA manager, conduct onsite visits, maintain records, and ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Support staff to ensure fidelity around data collection and evaluation.
  • Work with Accreditation and Quality Assurance managers to submit quantitative and qualitative program reports to funders and senior leaders on a regular basis.
  • Provide outreach to potential program agencies and develop start-up plans and support for new program development.
  • Create and implement comprehensive training plans for educators and supervisors.
  • Achieve certification as a national program affiliate and trainer.
  • Engage community leaders in the formation of community relationships as a resource for program and staff.
  • Advocate for the program, program supervisors, educators, and families in the community.
  • Act as a change agent to promote a culture of adaptability/continuous learning and skill enhancement/professional growth within the organization.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to identify skills gaps and training needs.  Work with internal Learning, Training, and Development Manager to ensure all training needs are met.  
  • Promote, adhere, and demonstrate our organization’s values.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Review program data regularly and in conjunction with the leadership team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow organizational policies, make recommendations for changes, and lead implementation of changes.
  • Participate in major development events benefiting NTN and community awareness events that promote the organization.
  • Fulfill the role of other leaders and managers in the organization when the position is vacant, or an employee is on leave.
  • Respect and maintain confidential information in all situations.
  • Demonstrate excellent project and time management skills to meet required deadlines and outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple projects without close supervision
  • Experience in working with culturally diverse organizations and families
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures for program development
  • Knowledge of social service systems, human development and community skills, social work principles and methods, maternal and infant mental health principles, and concepts of child abuse and neglect
  • Knowledge/experience in trauma-informed care
  • Ability to self-direct daily work tasks and practice effective time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Microsoft Office, email, internet; Must be able to meet documentation requirements
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and build effective partnerships.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, education, or related field. Less than a bachelor’s degree will be considered with more than 5 years of relevant experience.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to position themselves in a sitting position, talk, and/or hear (with or without aide). The employee is regularly required to remain stationary, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to keyboard and enter data at a computer. The employee is frequently required to operate a motor vehicle, move throughout homes or buildings, and may be required to climb stairs in family homes and in a variety of community-based and home settings. The employee must learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, and communicate with program participants and community partners. They must have the ability to complete tasks with speed in situations that ensure the safety of children. Employees must move supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, the ability to adjust focus, and operate a vehicle safely. The employee must have access to reliable transportation. Employees are required daily to remain alert and engaged to safely operate vehicles and ensure the safety of small children. The work environment includes indoor office environments or comparable spaces, families’ homes, and community spaces, with frequent exposure to outdoor weather when traveling to home visits and meetings. The noise level varies by sites, home visits, and meetings.

 TRAVEL

Occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
