Vanderbilt University
In recognition of the vital role played by nonprofits in our community, the Center for Nonprofit Management and Vanderbilt University have established a partnership that allows a nonprofit executive, or senior staff member to attend the two-year Executive MBA program at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management through a sponsorship worth approximately $85,000.
The Vanderbilt Executive MBA program, ranked number 19 worldwide by Wall Street Journal, grants an MBA degree after successful completion of 60 hours of curriculum. Class sessions are held at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management in Nashville every other Saturday for 24 months, enabling participants to continue a full-time career.
Its unique design sees working executives gain essential, strategic business skills without sacrificing the rigor and depth of a top-quality, thorough MBA degree. Additionally, program participants benefit from the diverse perspectives brought to class by internationally-recognized faculty as well as by outstanding peers from a variety of organizations and industries.
To qualify for the Vanderbilt/Center for Nonprofit Management Executive Program, a candidate must be a senior-level staff member currently serving a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in Middle Tennessee and must demonstrate a past and future commitment to serving in the nonprofit sector. Each candidate will be required to complete an online application. A completed application includes transcripts, two letters of recommendation, GMAT test scores, as well as a personal statement.
The sponsorship recipient will be chosen by the Vanderbilt/Center for Nonprofit Management Executive Program Selection Committee.
