With the help of many of you, CNM has begun a new initiative to help young nonprofit employees of Generations X and Y get to know each other and develop a voice for their generations in the nonprofit community and beyond. This young nonprofit group has yet to be named, but we would like to start up a pilot program this fall, before solidifying the group for 2010.

Please join us for four exciting events this fall!** This will be a great opportunity for you to shape your careers, your network of support, and your commitment to the social sector.

Wednesday, September 30 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Happy Hour at Sambuca
Please join us as we kick off the monthly group meetings with a happy hour social. Mix and mingle with other young nonprofit professionals in the main lounge area at Sambuca in the Gulch. The first 25 to arrive get a free drink ticket! Also, take advantage of the half-price appetizer deal and complimentary valet parking.

Thursday, October 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
“Educational Deli: Your Career,” location TBA
Arrive at 5 to network with group members and stay for roundtable discussions from 5:30 to 7—deli-style, complete with a menu of table choices to mix and match for the perfect career “sandwich”—on how to develop your nonprofit career.

Monday, November 16 at 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Follow up Session on Group at Lipscomb University’s Ezell Center
Regroup to assess needs and wants for the group for 2010. Goals of the session include naming the group, and coming up with a plan for the next year’s events. Please join us for this exciting chance to shape the goals and purpose of this group for the future!

TBA, December
This will be an informal holiday get-together to network and nosh over a holiday-themed volunteer project. Close the year with a feel-good event shared with other service-minded professionals from the social sector.
